The Oakwood Cemetery Association proudly announces its annual "Wreaths Across America Remembrance Ceremony 2015" and wreath sale. The ceremony will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 12, in the historic Oakwood Cemetery at the Veterans Garden, 763 Portage Road, Niagara Falls.

The event is open to the public. Free on-site parking will be available with light refreshments donated by Tim Hortons served in the Oakwood House.

This is a moment in time to remember loved ones and fallen heroes; to honor those who serve in all branches of the armed forces; and to teach children about the sacrifice made by veterans and their families in order to preserve freedom.

The gathering starts at 11:30 a.m. inside the Oakwood Cemetery gate. In order to coordinate with Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C., the Oakwood ceremony will begin promptly at noon. The ceremony takes about 30 minutes. Guests are encouraged to dress according to the weather.

Wreaths are on sale now for $15 each with $5 of each sale used to maintain the Oakwood Cemetery Veterans' Garden as well as gravesites of the veterans who served in all branches of the military (going back to the Civil War).

Volunteers are invited to help place wreaths throughout Oakwood. Corporate and community donors are welcome.

To order wreaths and for more information, visit www.nfwreaths.org or www.myoakwoodcemetery.com. For more information, call 716-284-5131.
