On Friday, Mark Andol, founder of the original Made in America Store based in Elma, is expanding into two highly popular mall locations north of Buffalo: the Boulevard Mall in Amherst and the Fashion Outlets of Niagara.

Ribbon cuttings and open houses with refreshments will take place as follows:

•10 a.m. - Boulevard Mall, adjacent to the new Dick's Store, 730 Alberta Drive, Amherst

•11:30 a.m. - Fashion Outlets of Niagara (entrance exterior), 1900 Military Road, Niagara Falls

"Given the proud manufacturing history of communities in the Northtowns, like the Tonawandas, Amherst, Lockport and Niagara Falls, it makes sense for residents of this region to be able to conveniently access our brick and mortar retail stores," Andol said.

The expansion of the Made in America Store to these two locations comes just in time for peak holiday shopping season, starting with Black Friday on Nov. 27. The new stores will feature top-selling merchandise that has been highly successful in Made in America's locations inside the Walden Galleria, McKinley and Eastern Hills malls.

"Our tourist season location at One Niagara in Niagara Falls has been well-received by both international and domestic tourists, including many Western New Yorkers," Andol said. "Moving to the Fashion Outlets of Niagara while our One Niagara location is closed for the season enables us to maintain a presence in the western part of Niagara County when shopping is at its peak."

Robust Canadian traffic to the Fashion Outlets of Niagara, demonstrated by the license plates in its parking lots, was a key factor in Andol's decision to further invest in Niagara County.

"With the addition of our two new Northtowns locations, we will have a foothold in each major shopping mall in Erie and Niagara Counties," he said. "Our customers in northern Erie and Niagara County asked us to open stores in the Northtowns for their convenience, and we listened. I invite visitors and residents of Niagara County and the Northtowns to join us on Friday, Nov. 20, as we write a new chapter in the history of the Made in America Store."
