The Niagara Arts and Cultural Center will hold the ninth annual "Artists & Friends" event from 3-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.

An artists' market will open from 3-6 p.m. on the first two floors of this historic building, located at 1201 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls. Vendors will have tables of arts and crafts items suitable for holiday gifts.

Open studios will also take place from 3-6 p.m. offering a rare opportunity to explore the building and meet the artists in their own creative spaces. During this time, the Artisan Café will be open for refreshments.

At this reception, awards will be announced and wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served; also at 6 p.m., the "Always Niagara Falls" photography exhibit will open in the Garden Gallery with photography by Jim Neiss, Dave Young and Tim Maloney.
