Fri, Oct 23rd 2015 10:15 pm

Shannon Doyle outpoured, outflared and outlasted three other bartenders Friday to win the title of Hard Rock Café Niagara Falls USA BARocker champion. She advances to the regional competition in Philadelphia.

Doyle was asked to make three mixed drinks in three minutes or less while mastering ingredients, look and taste. She also demonstrated her bartending prowess with a series of skill maneuvers and a concoction that poured a rainbow of different colors.

The judging panel included Kelly Lang, director of development and marketing at the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center; Marc Frisicaro from Frizzy's Bar & Grill in Buffalo; famed local deejay and Rainbow Air Helicopter operator Pat Proctor; Vanessa Groeneveld, director of sales and marketing for Niagara Jet Adventures; and Joshua Maloni, managing editor at Niagara Frontier Publications.

The global BARocker champion will have his or her winning drink featured on Hard Rock's beverage menu for a limited time.
