Buffalo Sabres: Ullmark recalled, Lieuwen assigned to Rochester

The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team recalled goaltender Linus Ullmark from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Ullmark (age 22, 6'4", 212 pounds) joins the Sabres for his first career recall. A native of Lugnvik, Sweden, he is 1-2-0 in his first season with the Americans with a .932 save percentage and a 2.72 goals-against average.

Buffalo's sixth-round pick (163rd overall) in the 2012 NHL Draft, Ullmark is currently fifth in the AHL with 110 saves. Before joining the Amerks this season, he played in Sweden, where he won the Honken Trophy as the Swedish Goaltender of the Year after the 2013-14 season.

In a corresponding move, goaltender Nathan Lieuwen was assigned to Rochester.
