The New York State Department of Transportation has announced highway paving work is scheduled to occur next week on the Robert Moses State Parkway, in the City of Niagara Falls.

On Tuesday, Oct. 27, and Wednesday, Oct. 28, the Robert Moses State Parkway between Interstate 190 and downtown Niagara Falls will be closed to all traffic in the northbound (inbound) direction from approximately 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily. Traffic will be directed to follow a posted detour using Route 384, Buffalo Avenue. Motorists should allow for additional travel time.

This work is weather-sensitive and could be delayed in the event of inclement weather.

Motorists are reminded fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's driver's license.
