Tri-Community basket auction set

Tri-Community Ambulance, based in Sanborn, will hold its 13th annual basket auction Oct. 11. The event will start at noon and the drawings will begin at 5 p.m. There will be more than 150 baskets/gift certificates to be won. Participants do not need to be present to win.

There also will be large-ticket items including a 42-inch television, an iPad and a gaming system. The junior members will sell food during the event. There will be 50/50 split and side raffles throughout the day.

Admission is $5 and includes 25 auction tickets, a door prize ticket and free dessert.

This is the only fundraiser for Tri-Community Ambulance holds all year long. The organization receives no government funding.

Tri-Community Ambulance has been serving the communities of Wheatfield, Lewiston and Cambria since 1956. It provides ambulance service for the Bergholz, St. Johnsburg, Sanborn and Pekin fire companies and handles more than 1,200 calls per year.
