Fri, Sep 18th 2015 10:00 am

The Chamber of Commerce of the Tonawandas will host two separate candidate debate events, one for each city, this autumn.

The North Tonawanda debate will take place at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 8 at Spruce Elementary School, 195 Spruce St., North Tonawanda.

The City of Tonawanda debate will be held the following night, at 6 p.m. Oct. 9 at Tonawanda High School, 150 Hinds St., City of Tonawanda. The public is urged to attend these events in preparation of this fall's elections.

"This is a great opportunity to hear what each party has to say and be an informed voter," said Angela R. Johnson-Renda, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce of the Tonawandas. "Meet the leaders in our communities that are going to represent you, the citizen."

George Soemann of Walker Bros. & Monroe Jewelers will be the official timekeeper. For more information, call the chamber at 716-692-5120.
