Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue Inc. adopters, fosters and volunteers will walk in the Lewiston Peach Festival Parade this Saturday, with their own dog-friendly dogs to show solidarity and support of the rescue's ongoing work of helping animals find "forever homes." The parade begins at 11 a.m. near the Red Brick Municipal Building (North Fourth Street) and proceeds down Center Street before ending at Academy Park.

The public is invited to stop by the rescue's booth, located near first aid, to meet adoptable dogs Little Man, Tillie, Sonny and Cher. HON volunteers and board members will be present immediately following the parade until 4 p.m. and then again from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday to meet and greet the public, provide information about adoptions, animal care and upcoming events.

Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue is a not-for-profit animal rescue organization based in Niagara County. Its mission is to protect the health and welfare of abandoned, unwanted and homeless animals.
