First Chestnut Ridge Tennis Tournament still accepting registration for inaugural summer event

Draws are open to men and women of all ages for singles, doubles and mixed-doubles play

Entries are still being accepted for the first Chestnut Ridge Summer Classic Tennis Tournament, set to take place later this month at Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park.

Scheduled tournament times are as follows: 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, and Friday, Aug. 28, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 29-30

Draws are open to men and women of all ages for singles, doubles and mixed-doubles play. Fees are $20 for single entries and $10 per person for doubles entries. Each entry is guaranteed two matches, with winners being determined by best of three sets. First- and second-place trophies will be awarded and complimentary food will be made available to all players.

The tournament is sponsored by the Erie County Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry and the Chestnut Ridge Conservancy, a 501(c) 3 corporation that supports the restoration and preservation of the resources that comprise Chestnut Ridge Park.
