Ellicott Development is on Monday's Village of Lewiston Historic Preservation/Planning Commission agenda. CEO William Paladino requested a place on the program in a recent letter to the Planning Board.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Red Brick Municipal Building, 145 N. Fourth St.

Paladino last appeared before the board in November to discuss his intent to build a plaza extending from the site of the former Country Doctor down to Smith Brothers Pizza on Eighth Street and the north side of Center Street.

Appointed leaders objected to the first of three buildings he intends to erect, as plans called for it to be built below grade. They also expressed concerns about the main building at the north end of the plaza, which was drawn to be three stories.

At that time, board members suggested Paladino cantilever the first building and scale-down the third.

He has informed the Village of Lewiston the first building will instead have a street-level patio. Additionally, this unit, which is intended to hold a restaurant, has a relocated drive-thru area facing west.

The third building has been reduced. It's intended to have a first-floor pharmacy and two upper floors of residential units.

On the plaza's east side, building No. 2 also would house an eatery and retail space. It appears this unit would have one level on Center Street and a second sloping down into the plaza.
