The 2015 graduates of the Niagara County Community College physical therapy assistant program earned a 100 percent pass rate on the national physical therapy assistant examination. NCCC is the only college in New York with 100 percent pass rate on the national exam.

The NPTE is the licensure examination to practice.

The New York state average of first-time test takers was 92 percent, while the national average was 86 percent.

"We are so proud of the graduates of our program," said professor Deborah K. Matuch, physical therapy assistant program co-coordinator.

"I congratulate program coordinators professor Susan Wehling and professor Matuch, the PTA faculty, students and staff for their commitment to excellence," NCCC President Dr. James P. Klyczek said. "Professors Wehling and Matuch work tirelessly to prepare students for the exam and for their eventual successful career as a physical therapy assistant."
