Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue volunteers and adoptable dogs will be present at Milk-Bone's booth at the 2015 Taste of Buffalo. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. this Saturday, July 11, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at Delaware Avenue and Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo.

Heart of Niagara board members and volunteers will hand out samples of Milk-Bone products and other giveaways (while they last) at a tent set up near Buffalo City Hall. The public is invited to stop by and meet adoptable dogs Cher and Nilla, and obtain information about the adoption process and volunteering.

HON will have information on other upcoming events, including its second annual summer picnic.

Heart of Niagara is a not-for-profit companion animal rescue organization based in Niagara County. Its mission is to protect the health and welfare of abandoned, unwanted and homeless animals. To date, volunteers have adopted out more than 320 animals. HON operates solely on donations and the generosity of the public and business community.
