Robin "Rob" Morreale, a 25-year Lewiston resident, has announced his candidacy for the Lewiston Town Board.

"Lewiston has been a wonderful community for my family, and I want to give back and offer my service to help make our town grow and prosper for generations to come," Morreale said.

Morreale, a Democrat, is the co-owner and operator of Collision Enterprises Inc., an auto body repair shop in Niagara Falls. He also served on the board of directors of the Pine Avenue Business Association.

"Running a successful small business has taught me how important it is to pay attention to details, watch the bottom line and be honest with people," Morreale said. "I believe those traits are also important in town government."

Morreale has been a member of the Buffalo Autobody Guild Association and served as an usher at St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls. He also coached Lewiston Recreation baseball and softball teams.

Morreale has been married to his wife, Donna (Gray), for 34 years. The couple has two children: Sara, and Bobby, who is married to Lauren.

"Lewiston is a wonderful place for families," Morreale said. "My business experience has taught me to be careful in spending, and I know we need to make sure Lewiston's finances are managed carefully and serve the needs of the entire community."

Morreale also is concerned with environmental issues.

"We need to assure that the Lewiston we leave to our children and grandchildren is a better community," he said.
