Southern Ontario entrepreneurs invited to tour 43North/Z80 Labs incubator, visit Design Innovation Garage space, and attend Startup Grind Buffalo fireside chat event

43North has announced its partnership with Startup Grind Toronto to sponsor a "Startup Bus" road trip to Buffalo May 28. The bus will transport interested Toronto startups to Western New York for a tour of the 43North/Z80 Labs incubator and Design Innovative Garage (dig) co-working space, as well as participation in Startup Grind Buffalo's evening fireside chat with Empire Genomics President/CEO Anthony Johnson.

"Startup Grind Toronto is pleased to partner with 43North and Startup Grind Buffalo to increase connectivity between startups on both sides of the border," said Michael Cayley, host of the "Startup Bus" and director of the Startup Grind Toronto chapter. "We invite Canadian entrepreneurs to join us for the short road trip down to Buffalo for a full evening of networking, food, refreshments and a neat chat with Empire Genomics' Anthony Johnson."

The "Startup Bus" will leave Toronto at 1 p.m. May 28 and return that same night. Deadline for $5 (Canadian) registrations is May 20, and $10 (Canadian) is May 28. This event has limited capacity. Tickets include bus transportation, a Startup Grind Buffalo ticket, and free food and beverages. Interested attendees can register here.

"43North is really excited about hosting some Canadian startups, showing them our facility, and helping them create important cross-border relationships with founders, funders and fellow startups in the Western New York region," said Peter Burakowski, 43North director of marketing. "We continue to believe that Buffalo has a lot to offer and can be a very convenient hub and jumping-off point for Canadian startups looking to enter the U.S. market."

43North is the world's largest business idea competition, offering $5 million in cash prizes, mentorship, incubator space and other benefits to some of the top startups from around the world. Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo's "Buffalo Billion" initiative is the primary funding source for 43North, with support from the New York Power Authority. For more information, visit www.43north.org.
