The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra's Recording Arts Society will host a listening party at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at Pausa Art House, 19 Wadsworth St.

BPO Music Director JoAnn Falletta and several members of the orchestra will be on hand to discuss the process of recording the orchestra's latest CD, "Built For Buffalo," which features three works the orchestra commissioned from major composers.

They will speak about the BPO's new Recording Arts Society, a group of donors that support the BPO's recording projects. Recording Arts Society members enjoy benefits such as early copies of the CD releases and the opportunity to go behind the scenes of a recording project.

Admission to the listening party is free for current Recording Arts Society members, $5 for students, and $10 for the general public. Anyone who joins the Recording Arts Society that night will have the admission fee put toward the cost of membership.
