Only four weeks until new "Idol" is crowned

U.S. Women's National Soccer Team stars Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan to make special announcement next week

Tickets go on sale for "American Idol Live!" U.S. tour Friday

Wednesday night, Ryan Seacrest announced the top six finalists on "American Idol XIV": Quentin Alexander, Clark Beckham, Nick Fradiani, Jax, Tyanna Jones and Rayvon Owen. Cook and Owen were in the bottom two and America had the chance to save one of them with the "Idol Fan Save" via Twitter. Owen received the most votes from the "Idol Fan Save" via and therefore continues in the competition, while Cook, from Woodbridge, Virginia, was eliminated.

Next week, as the countdown to the finale continues, the finalists will perform on an "Arena Anthems"-themed show. These songs are ones that have entertained massive crowds and have been performed by mega-superstars. Tune in Wednesday, April 22 (8-10 p.m.).

In addition, U.S. Women's National Soccer Team stars Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan will make a special appearance for a very special announcement. As two of the greatest scorers in the U.S. history, Wambach holds the world record for international goals - men or women - with 178 in her highly decorated career. Morgan has scored 51 times in her first 84 games for the USA, and both should play key roles as the USA takes on the world this summer at the 2015 Women's World Cup in Canada, which will be broadcast on the FOX family of networks.

Both athletes were members of the USA's 2012 Olympic gold medal-winning team, helping the USA to victory in front of more than 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium in London. Wambach, the 2012 FIFA Women's World Player of the Year, has been named the U.S. Soccer Female Athlete of the Year a record six times. Morgan was honored with the award for the first time in 2012.

The "American Idol Live!" U.S. concert tour launches Tuesday, July 7, in Clearwater, Florida, and stops in major cities, including New York, Chicago, Houston and Nashville before wrapping in Riverside, California, Friday, Aug. 28. Tickets go on sale Friday at www.AmericanIdol.com/tour.
