Voting underway to select Niagara County Fair logo

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County reports voting is now underway to select the official 2015 Niagara County Fair logo.

"Fair logo voting is now open to the community. Your votes will decide the first-, second- and third-place winners," said Jennifer R. Grier, program educator/marketing assistant with the CCE.

She said a number of entries were received and six top logos were selected. Contributing artists were students from throughout the county and include Mattie Hamelink from Burt, Erin Harrington from Lockport, Kristina Rogers from Lewiston, Makel Day from North Tonawanda, Andrea Falsone from Lockport and Breanna Culligan from North Tonawanda.

"Thank you to everyone who entered the 2015 Niagara County Fair logo contest," Grier said.

Voting opened April 8 and continues until noon, Wednesday, April 15.

Grier said those seeking to vote can do so by:

•Visiting www.facebook.com/cceniagaracounty and casting their "Like" on the favored image.

•Emailing your choice to Grier at [email protected]. Include the image number and title of the logo chosen.

•Mail to CCE Logo Contest, 4487 Lake Ave., Lockport, NY 14094. Include the number and name of the logo chosen.

•In person during regular business hours at the CCE Administration Building, 4487 Lake Ave., Lockport (a ballot will be provided).

Only one vote per person is requested.

The 2015 Niagara County Fair will be Aug. 5-9. The fair is organized and operated by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County, a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt organization. The CCE is an employer and educator recognized for valuing AA/EEO, protected veterans and individuals with disabilities. It provides equal program and employment opportunities.

Net proceeds from the fair support CCE Niagara County programming that benefits children, families, farmers, seniors and communities across Niagara County.
