Canalside set to hire dozens of food and beverage and operations employees

Looking for an opportunity that will put you in the heart of Buffalo's waterfront revitalization this summer? Come and join the Global Spectrum Team at Canalside. From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, Global Spectrum will host a job fair at Iron Works, 49 Illinois St., Buffalo (next to the First Niagara Center). It is looking for highly motivated individuals who love serving the public.

To get the process started, go to www.CanalsideBuffalo.com/jobopportunities to print out an application and get more details on all the jobs offered. Then, bring your application and resume and connect with Global Spectrum during the Canalside job fair.

Global Spectrum offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay and a fast-paced atmosphere at Buffalo's hottest waterfront destination: Canalside.

This summer, there will be new food and beverage offerings and hundreds of events and programs. Global Spectrum will be hiring in its food and beverage department, with bartending, cashier and line cook positions, and in its operations department, with utility maintenance and grounds keeping positions available.

Canalside is a growing regional destination and entertainment district, situated on 21 historic acres along downtown Buffalo's emerging waterfront on the Buffalo River. Canalside earns its name from its storied past, when the Erie Canal Harbor was built in 1825 as the western terminus of the Erie Canal. Until five years ago, the land was barren and inaccessible, but the area has been reclaimed by the state's Erie Canal Harbor Development Corp. and developed with millions of dollars in public and private investment.
