Families of young children in the Niagara region may wonder what fun and interesting activities are available for youth on weekends. Community Missions hopes to provide an answer to this question.

From noon until 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 11, Community Missions will hold Kids Café in its Community Room at 1590 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls. This month's activity will be a craft in which youth, along with their families, can create Chinese lanterns. The Kids Café program is available at no cost.

Youth up to age 12 are invited to participate, along with their families, in this craft. Snacks will be provided and lunch is available before and during the event in the community soup kitchen (from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.). A parent or guardian age 18 or older must remain with children during the event.

Kids Café is a program providing recreational opportunities to youth on a monthly basis. For more information on Kids Café, contact Julie Whittemore at 716-285-3403, ext. 2293, or [email protected].
