Dolphins choose not to match Bills' offer sheet

The Buffalo Bills announced Thursday that the Miami Dolphins did not match the offer sheet the Bills submitted to tight end Charles Clay. The Bills have agreed with Clay on all the terms of the contract. In accordance with team policy, the terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Clay has started 47 of 58 games he has played in his four-year career for the Miami Dolphins, catching 161 passes for 1,809 yards and 14 touchdowns. Clay has surpassed 50 receptions in each of the past two seasons, catching 127 passes over that time period - the sixth most in the NFL.

The 6-3, 255-pound Tulsa product originally entered the league in 2011 as a sixth round pick (174th overall) of the Dolphins. Clay, 26, is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas.
