Cooking Channel series premieres Saturday, April 25

Based on her popular namesake blog and cookbook, "The Real Girl's Kitchen," takes viewers into actress Haylie Duff's kitchen, and world, where she serves up stories and delicious discoveries. The show premieres Saturday, April 25 (1 p.m. ET), on Cooking Channel.

This 13-episode lifestyle docu-series follows Duff in and out of the kitchen as she prepares tasty recipes, and blends her southern roots with her busy life in Hollywood.

"I'm so excited to dish out new recipes and give a taste of my life as I work, travel and spend time with friends and family around the dinner table, enjoying an amazing meal," Duff said.

Throughout the season, Duff visits unique culinary destinations, including local restaurants, spice markets, candy stores and bakeries that inspire her to be creative in her own kitchen, and often invites friends and family to join in the adventure. Lauren Conrad, Amy Davidson, Arielle Kebbel, Beverly Mitchell, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Hanna Skvarla, Marla Sokoloff and Jessica Zohr accompany Duff on her quest for fabulous food.

On the first episode, Duff plans a special Spanish-themed surprise birthday dinner for her mom, Susan. While she has the evening perfectly planned, Duff leads "Mama Suz" to believe she will not be able to attend. To catch her mother off guard, Duff cooks a stellar birthday breakfast of farro cakes and strawberry crostinis. With a little help from Food Network's Duff Goldman, Haylie is able to pull off the biggest surprise of the day: homemade dulce de leche cake.

Fans can access Duff's guide to her favorite places to eat in Los Angeles and New York City, and watch behind-the-scenes clips from the show on CookingChannelTV.com. Plus, they can get real on Twitter with the hashtag #RealGirlsKitchen.

Duff is an actress who came to worldwide fame with her role in "Napoleon Dynamite." Since then, she has appeared in numerous television and Broadway projects, including "7th Heaven," "Hairspray" and Nora Ephron's "Love, Loss and What I Wore."

Duff's interest in cooking sparked after her dad gifted her his grandmother's cookbook full of family recipes. Tucked inside, she discovered a handwritten note from a café owner dating back to 1934. The note included one of his top-secret recipes, inspiring Duff to share her recipes in the same gracious sentiment.

In October 2013, Duff penned her first cookbook, "The Real Girl's Kitchen," based off her popular namesake blog.

She currently resides in Los Angeles with her fiancé, Matt Rosenberg. They are expecting their first child this spring.
