Kiwanis Club of Lewiston donates to Ransomville pantry; awards Kiwanian of the Year

The Kiwanis Club of Lewiston held a canned food drive during the month of January to benefit the Ransomville Food Pantry. Members brought canned goods to their weekly meetings and President Marty Pauly held all the donations until the drive was over.

On Feb. 14, Pauly along with Kiwanis members Jan Mathews, Ed Schieffelin, Ed Evert and Randy Gorzka, visited the pantry and delivered all of the donated items.

Kiwanian of the Year

The Kiwanis Club of Lewiston has selected member Chuck Barber of Lewiston as its 2014-15 Kiwanian of the Year. Barber, a current Kiwanis board member, served as 2014 Peach Festival chairman as well as chair for the Kiwanis Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday baskets programs.

The Kiwanian of the Year event, organized by board member John Coulter, was held at The Como Restaurant on Valentine's Day.
