The New York Power Authority board of trustees approved a contract Dec. 16 to Niagara Coating Services of Niagara Falls for work to support the life extension and modernization program at NYPA's Lewiston Pump Generation. The purpose of LEM is to replace/rehabilitate aging generation equipment, most of which dates back to 1961, to allow for improved operating efficiency.
