Buffalo native Chief Christopher Odachowski recently retired after 22 years of active Naval service.

"I am proud to have served my country honorably for the past 22 years, and I am extremely honored to have represented my family and the good people of Buffalo for all these years," he said.

Odachowski graduated from Cheektowaga Central High School in 1992. He is married to Tracy and his last duty station was serving as the data division leading chief petty officer for the AEGIS Training and Readiness Center in Dahlgren, Virginia, where he was awarded his second Navy Commendation Medal.

His parents, John and Janet Odachowski, formerly of Cheektowaga, were Buffalo residents. His brother, Martin Odachowski, and sister, Lisa Polinski reside in Elma.
