Obit: Michele Sirianni

Beloved wife, mother

Michele (Quarantello) Sirianni, 56, of Grand Island, passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo.

Michele is survived by her husband, Joseph M. Sirianni, who she married Sept. 8, 1979, in St. Joseph Church, Niagara Falls. She was the daughter of Bernardino and Helen (Oliver) Quarantello of Niagara Falls.

Michele graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1976 and obtained her associate degree from Niagara County Community College, and later attended Daemen College where she studied human resources management and received her bachelor degree summa cum laude. Michele most recently worked as the residency coordinator for the Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) Department at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo.

Michele possessed a selfless and enduring love for her family. Her warm smile and caring ways will always be remembered.

In addition to her husband of 35 years, Joseph, and her parents, Michele is also survived by three children, Valerie L. (Timothy) Costello of East Amherst, Stephen J. Sirianni of Orlando, Florida, and Francis C. Sirianni of Buffalo; her mother-in-law Mary (late Frank) Sirianni of Niagara Falls; her siblings, Bernard Quarantello and Diane Quarantello, both of Niagara Falls, Russell (Cheryl) Quarantello of Lewiston, and Jean (Anthony) Pascuzzi of Niagara Falls, and is also survived by and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services were held followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls, with Rev. Duane Klizek, officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, New York.
