Buffalo Sabres Alumni Wine Festival rescheduled

The Buffalo Sabres Alumni Association has announced the 11th annual Sabres Alumni Wine Festival will now be held from 6-9:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at First Niagara Center in downtown Buffalo.

The event, co-sponsored by First Niagara, Labatt, BlueCross BlueShield of WNY, Fallsview Casino and JW Danforth, was originally scheduled for Nov. 20, but had to be rescheduled do to "Winter Storm Knife," aka "Snowvember." All tickets for the original date can be used for the event n March 12.

The Alumni Wine Festival will feature wineries and restaurants from Buffalo, Niagara-on-the-Lake and beyond. Sample some of the finest wines and food the Western New York and Southern Ontario regions have to offer while socializing with Sabres legends and their wives, as well as members from the 2014-15 team. The festival will include music, auctions and raffles, with unique items from the Buffalo Sabres and Sabres Alumni.

All attendees are asked to dress in business attire for the evening. There will be complimentary parking in the ramp adjacent to the First Niagara Center. Use the 100-level bridge entrance to enter the event.

All proceeds from the event will benefit breast cancer care in Western New York.
