With October behind us and the holiday season now in sight, the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Grand Island, especially the Recreation Department, are counting down the days until the third annual Grand Island Light Up the Boulevard Electric Light Parade and Festivities.
This community event will take place Saturday, Nov. 22, starting at 2 p.m. with Santa's first visits of the season until 4 p.m., vendors, games, music and crafts. Grand Island Boulevard will close at 4:30 p.m. for the Rudolf Run, which starts at 5 p.m., followed by the Electric Parade. The festivities close with the tree lighting in the Town Commons at the end of the parade.
