The Niagara Hospice Alliance will hold the annual Light-A-Life Memorial Tree Lighting Ceremony at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. Guests can enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides, musical entertainment, children's activities, an assortment of fresh baked goods, and a hot chocolate and coffee bar donated by Starbucks.

The nondenominational event will be held beneath the Dominic Lariccia Family Pavilion located behind Niagara Hospice House at 4675 Sunset Drive in Lockport. The popular family event is open to the community and is especially meaningful to those who wish to remember someone special to them who is now gone.

Individuals and families are invited to memorialize loved ones by purchasing a memory tag that will be displayed on the Niagara Hospice Light-A-Life trees. Tags and more details are available by calling 716-280-0766 or by visiting the events page at www.NiagaraHospice.org. Other commemorative memorial items also are available for a small donation. Orders will be taken through Dec. 1.

Niagara Hospice has provided end-of-life comfort, care and support since 1988 to more than 20,000 Niagara County individuals and families faced with serious illness.
