More than 50 local artists participating
For the 16th year, the social celebration of art, history and community will take place at The Buffalo History Museum. The annual "Paint the Town" fundraiser will feature both live and silent auctions, and will include a wide range of artworks by more than 50 artists with strong ties to the Buffalo region.
The event runs from 6-9-30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at the museum, One Museum Court (Elmwood Avenue and Nottingham Terrace), Buffalo.
New to this year's fundraiser is a "Clothesline Gallery" that features smaller unframed works. Guests may purchase Western New York-inspired art at a set price.
Guests may view the works on display while enjoying food stations, a stocked bar, and desserts by Oliver's Restaurant. The live auction, led by auctioneer Kelly Schultz, will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $50 for members and $70 general admission. Proceeds from the auction benefit both the artists and The Buffalo History Museum. For more information, visit buffalohistory.org, or call 716-873-9644, ext. 318.
