NCCC Foundation board of directors member and president of DiCamillo Bakery, David DiCamillo and his wife, Monica, have been named the co-chairs of the 24th annual Niagara County Community College Foundation Scholarship Gala.

The event benefits NCCC Foundation scholarships. It will be held Oct. 18 at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute. The evening will open with a recognition ceremony for distinguished student scholarship winners and Distinguished Alumni Award recipient Mr. Patrick Sorge (Class of 1985).

The gala will feature gourmet stations prepared by NCCC culinary and baking and pastry arts students who will prepare and serve international dishes from around the world. A large silent auction and several raffles will be held throughout the evening.

The 24th annual NCCC Foundation Scholarship Gala will offer guests a glimpse into the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, where they can tour the 90,000-square-foot facility, which includes several teaching kitchens, Savor fine-dining restaurant, The Wine Boutique, La Patisserie, Old Falls Street Deli, and a Barnes and Noble culinary-themed store.

The NCCC Foundation has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to deserving students since its inception in 1987. Tickets for the gala are $125 per person and are available for purchase by contacting the NCCC Foundation office at 716-614-5910 or online at www.niagaracc.suny.edu/foundation.
