MOPS is starting a chapter in Niagara County at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 1073 Saunders Settlement Road, Niagara Falls. The program will be held the first and third Tuesday of each month, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 16 (9:15-11:15 a.m.).

What is MOPS? Mothers of Pre-Schoolers is a program to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban, rural, stay at home, working, teen, single and married - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be. MOPS recognizes the years from infancy to kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.

MOPS helps moms through relationships established in the context of local groups that provide a caring atmosphere for today's mother of young children. It offers a place for moms to relate to other moms; a place for moms to realize they are not alone; and a place for moms to enjoy a meal and fellowship with other moms.

MOPS moms' children are lovingly cared for by MOPPETS.

St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church is the setting for the first MOPS program in Niagara County. It is for moms with children from infancy to 4 years old. Moms will have some "big people" interaction, while the children are in another area playing games, reading, etc.

For more information, email [email protected] or call the church at 716-297-2668.
