Dinner to benefit crisis services programs

Community Missions of Niagara Frontier Inc. will hold its fourth annual Lobster Fest on Thursday, Aug. 14, at the LaSalle Yacht Club in Niagara Falls.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. and continue until 8 p.m. or until the lobsters are gone. Tickets are $50 per person and include a whole lobster, clam chowder, corn on the cob, sides, dessert and two free drink tickets (beer, wine or soda). A steak alternative is available upon request prior to the event.

In addition to dinner, the evening will feature a basket auction, 50/50 raffle, and live music from the Celtic Cross Duo. All event proceeds benefit Community Missions' crisis services programs, which include the community soup kitchen, clothing closet, food pantry and emergency housing shelter. This signature event will assist in continuing to provide food and shelter to the neediest neighbors in Niagara County.

For more information on how to purchase or reserve tickets, visit www.communitymissions.org or contact Andrea Gray at 716-285-3403, ext. 2225, or [email protected].

Since its founding in 1925, Community Missions has provided a unique blend of referral, crisis, community support and residential services for youth and adults.

In 2013, Community Missions' crisis services programs served more than 75,000 meals and provided nearly 11,000 nights of care to neglected or abused children and homeless adults. Additional agency programs serve adults and youth with psychiatric disabilities, parolees, at-risk youth and other underserved populations in both residential and recovery-oriented settings.
