NBCSN to air coverage of 2014 NHL Awards, 2014 NHL Draft this week

2014 NHL Awards tonight at 7 p.m. on NBCSN; 2014 NHL Draft Friday at 7 p.m. on NBCSN

NBCSN will present live coverage of the 2014 NHL Awards and 2014 NHL Draft this week, as the NHL honors the top performers from the 2013-14 season in Las Vegas, and all 30 teams look toward the future in hopes of drafting the next NHL superstar.

2014 NHL Awards - Tonight at 7 p.m. on NBCSN

Coverage of the 2014 NHL Awards begins at 7 p.m. on NBCSN from the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas. Awards that will be announced include the winners of the Hart Trophy (most valuable player), Calder Trophy (top rookie), Vezina Trophy (top goaltender) and Norris Trophy (top defenseman).

NBC Sports Group's Emmy Award-winning play-by-play announcer Mike "Doc" Emrick and analyst Eddie Olczyk will announce the cover athlete for EA Sports' "NHL 15." Emrick and Olczyk will be featured as the lead commentary team in "NHL 15," slated to be released Sept. 9.

2014 NHL Draft - Friday at 7 p.m. on NBCSN

NBCSN will present live coverage of the first round of the 2014 NHL Draft Friday at 7 p.m. from Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. For the 52nd time, teams and executives will come together to select the next generation of hockey players. Top prospects for this year's draft include: Kingston Frontenacs center Samuel Bennett, Kootenay Ice center Sam Reinhart, Prince Albert Raiders center Leon Draisaitl, and Barrie Colts defenseman Aaron Ekblad.

The Florida Panthers have the first pick in the 2014 NHL Draft.
