The four-time champion Suicidal Saucies will look to stop the Nickel City Knockouts from winning their third consecutive Queen City Roller Girls Cup Championship tonight.

The Queen City Roller Girls close out their final home season at their original home, the Rainbow Rink in North Tonawanda, with a championship matchup between the two most decorated teams in league history. The two-time and defending champion Nickel City Knockouts look to stave off a challenge from the four-time champion Suicidal Saucies.

When these teams met in the regular season in March, the Saucies gave the Knockouts the closest bout they had seen since beginning their current run of titles, shooting out to a 76 point halftime lead over the defending champs and forcing the Knockouts to deploy late-game heroics to ensure a 154-141 win that was decided by the final jam.

This is the fourth consecutive title game appearance by the Knockouts, who won the championship in 2012 and 2013. The Saucies are back in the hunt for the first time since 2010 when they clinched their fourth consecutive QCRG Cup.

This clash of titans also marks the closing of an era for the Queen City Roller Girls, as they wrap up their final season at the Rainbow Rink before moving downtown to the forthcoming Buffalo Riverworks Event Center for 2015.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with the game beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for front row access, $15 general admission, and $10 for children ages 12 and under. Advanced tickets can be purchased through http://www.qcrg.net/.   This game is included for 2014 season ticketholders.

Come out before the bout beginning at 3 p.m. for "cOllide-a-scOpe" and QCRG Day in North Tonawanda at the Carnegie Art Center.

Rainbow Roller Rink is located 101 Oliver St., North Tonawanda.

Carnegie Art Center is located 240 Goundry St., North Tonawanda.
