The New York State Department of Transportation today announced highway and bridge maintenance will occur next week on the Robert Moses State Parkway in the Town of Porter.

Beginning Monday, June 2, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., the Robert Moses Parkway northbound exit ramp to NY Route 93 will be closed to all traffic. This closure is necessary to conduct guiderail replacement. A posted detour route will be in place to direct traffic.

In addition, beginning Tuesday, June 3, the Robert Moses Parkway southbound in the vicinity of the entrance to Fort Niagara State Park will be closed to all traffic to allow for bridge maintenance. A posted detour route will be in place to direct traffic. This closure will last for approximately three weeks.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted speed limit along the detour routes.

Motorists are also reminded fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's driver's license.
