'Sweet Julia' joins Cooking Channel with master class in decadent desserts, chocolate treats and sweet/savory combinations

Six-episode series hosted by Julia Baker premieres Saturday, June 21

Patissier and master chocolatier Julia Baker brings her unique culinary skills to Cooking Channel this summer in the six-episode series, "Sweet Julia," premiering Saturday, June 21, at 2:30 p.m.

In her delicious journey through all things sweet, Baker tackles not only sinful desserts, but also demonstrates how to use sweet flavors in savory dishes. From cocoa-rubbed rib eye and pain perdu with rotisserie chicken to baked Alaska and salted caramels, her dishes are sure to satisfy even the most distinguished sweet tooth.

"Julia is known for her dazzling chocolate desserts and cakes, but she is also skilled at creating unexpected combinations with sweet and savory ingredients," said Michael Smith, general manager and senior vice president at Cooking Channel. "Viewers will be delighted by her passion and expertise for cooking sweet."

Chic culinary artist and confectioner Baker serves as founder, head chef and CEO of Julia Baker Confections, and is known for her luxury chocolates and custom cake creations. She graduated from the world-renowned Le Cordon Bleu Paris, and studied under famed Alain Ducasse protégé Jean-Louis Nomicos.
