Students have until Friday, May 30, to submit entries
Congressman Brian Higgins has announced the deadline for submitting entries to the Congressional Student App Challenge has been extended to May 30.
"As the school year comes to an end, we know that many high school students have a number of obligations," Higgins said. "Because designing an application takes time, we wanted to make sure that everyone who is interested in participating in this challenge has the necessary time to do so."
All high school students who live in or are eligible to attend public school in the NY-26 congressional district are invited to design and exhibit software applications, or "apps," for mobile, tablet or computer devices. The winning student's app in each participating congressional district will be featured on the U.S. House of Representatives' website and will be on display in a U.S. Capitol exhibit.
