News outlets learned Friday that Town of Niagara Supervisor Steven Richards resigned his position, effective immediately. It was reported Richards told his fellow board members he was "retiring."
Councilman Rob Clark read Richards' resignation to WGRZ News Channel 2 on Friday. He read, "Dear members of the town board, effective at the close of business on Friday, May 2, 2014, I hereby resign my position as Town Supervisor for the Town of Niagara for the purpose of retirement. Respectfully, Steven C. Richards."
