Lewiston Kiwanis and Lewiston Service Guild host one-mile race for children

On Sunday, April 27, the Village of Lewiston Recreation Department will hold its annual Lewiston Kiwanis and Lewiston Service Guild one-mile race for youth. The event begins at 12:30 p.m. at the North Second and Onondaga streets entrance of the Red Brick Municipal Building gym.

Registration will begin at 11:45 a.m. Registration forms require a parent's signature.

The race is for youths ages 14 years and under. The racecourse is one mile on flat land.

Parents can run with their children. The race is free and the first 100 youths registering that day will receive a shirt courtesy of Lewiston Kiwanis, Lewiston Service Guild, Venture Forthe and Stuart Sports.

The race is rain or shine. It is part of the 19th annual Lewiston Spring Fling. For more information, call 716-754-1990.

The Rec. Dept. is looking for volunteers to help man the race route.
