Spring gardening classes at CCE Niagara County

Cornell Cooperative Extension Niagara County is offering four spring gardening classes.

Cost is $10 per class, including supplies. Classes will be conducted by John Farfaglia, horticulturist at CCE-Niagara County. Cost is $10. Preregistration is required. •Starting Your Own Seedlings Indoors, March 25, 7 p.m.: This class will show how to grow healthy transplants for vegetable and flower gardens. Bring two packets of seed; soil and containers supplied.

•Pruning Trees, Shrubs And Vines, April 16, 7 p.m.: Learn proper pruning techniques and timing for common landscape trees, shrubs and vines. Register by April 14.

•Gardening In Small Spaces, April 23, 7 p.m.: See examples of various raised beds, container gardens and other techniques. Register by April 21.

•Know Your Trees, May 17, 10 a.m.: Enjoy a spring tree and wildflower identification walk through Royalton Ravine Park in Gasport. Meet at the CCE greenhouse. Register by May 14.
