Come watch the Queen City Junior Roller Girls take on the Enchanted Mountain Juniors, followed by the Suicidal Saucies and the Alley Kats going head-to-head on the track in their first bouts of the season.

On Saturday, Feb. 1, the Queen City Roller Girls will continue the 2014 season with the debut of this year's Suicidal Saucies and Alley Kats in an exciting matchup. The game will be preceded by the Queen City's own Junior Derby girls as they take of the Enchanted Mountain Juniors from Olean.

The four-time champion Saucies are coming back stronger than ever this year as they look to reclaim the top spot in the league. The Alley Kats have reinvented themselves for 2014 with the largest roster of new skaters. Combined with the talented veterans from last year, this team will be one to watch.

The Queen City Junior Roller Girls are rolling into their third season proving they have what it takes to be the best junior derby team in the region. These girls, whose ages range from 10-17, have taken the sport of roller derby by storm. This event will be the 2014 debut of the QCJRG travel team.

Proceeds from the bout will benefit the Neighborhood Health Center. This group of medical professionals has been helping the citizens of Buffalo meet their health care needs since 1987.

Events take place at Rainbow Roller Rink, 101 Oliver St., North Tonawanda. Doors open at 6 p.m. The Juniors bout starts at 6:30 p.m., while the Saucies-Kats bout begins at 8:45 p.m.

Tickets are $20 for front row access, $15 general admission, and $10 for children ages 12 and under. Advanced tickets can be purchased at http://www.qcrg.net/. This game is included for 2014 season ticketholders.

Since its inception in 2006, the mission of Queen City Roller Girls has been to provide opportunities for athleticism, camaraderie and self-expression. Founded and supported entirely through the efforts of non-paid skaters, officials and volunteers, QCRG has grown to more than 150 members and continues to grow throughout the Buffalo-Niagara Region. Visit www.qcrg.net to find out more about your local derby girls.
