Event series debuts with special two-hour premiere Monday, May 5, on FOX

Tate Donovan will join the presidential cabinet of "24: Live Another Day" as White House chief of staff Mark Boudreau. "24: Live Another Day" debuts with a two-hour television premiere Monday, May 5 (8 p.m.), on FOX, and makes its time period premiere the following week on Monday, May 12 (9 p.m.).

In the highly anticipated event series starring Kiefer Sutherland, Boudreau is an astute and strong-willed political adviser who is married to President James Heller's (William Devane) daughter, Audrey Raines (Kim Raver) - Jack Bauer's (Sutherland) former flame.

Most recently seen in the network series "Hostages," Donovan's television credits include "Deception," "Damages" and "The O.C.," as well as memorable guest-starring roles on "The Guardian," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Friends" and "Ally McBeal."

In "24: Live Another Day," the stakes are higher than ever for Bauer, who is now an exile being tracked by CIA operations head Steve Harris (Benjamin Bratt), agent Kate Morgan (Yvonne Strahovski), computer tech Jordan Reed (Giles Matthey) and field operative Erik Ritter (Gbenga Akinnagbe). The series also stars original "24" cast member Mary Lynn Rajskub, along with newcomers Michael Wincott and Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award winner Judy Davis.

The original series, "24," had its last American broadcast May 24, 2010.
