Fri, Apr 21st 2017 07:00 am

The Town of Wheatfield Lions Club will hold its annual spring pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at its clubhouse located at the Five Senses Park, 6535 Ward Road (next to the American Legion Post No. 1451). The all-you-can-eat meal will include pancakes, eggs, sausages, orange juice, and coffee and tea. The cost is $7 for adults, $4 for students, and all children under age 5 eat free.

The event, co-chaired by Lion Debbie Carr, will also feature pancake-flippers Lions Robert B. Cliffe and Walt Garrow; egg-scrambler Lion Art Kroening; sausage man Lion Paul Wilson; and Lions Justin Higner, MaryBeth Long, Roberta O'Toole, Agnes Ryan, Francine Boore and Nancy Rosie, among others.

The Wheatfield Lions Club offers the only clubhouse among the 50 Lions Clubs in Western New York. The clubhouse features a dinning/meeting room, kitchen, gazebo, pavilion and the largest certified medical assistance apparatus loan closet east of Syracuse. These items are loaned freely to people in need.

Donations are always welcome. Community contributions to events, including the breakfast, the blind seal drive and the meat raffle support many Western New York agencies charged with helping those with disabilities.
