The Rotary Club of Kenmore will hold its semi-annual "Shred-It" event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, in the parking lot of Kenmore West High School, 33 Highland Parkway, Tonawanda.

This event, which will be held rain or shine, will accept papers and documents in any kind of container, and there is a suggested donation of $10 per standard box of paper. Suggested items for shredding include bank statements, tax filings and medical records.

Volunteers will be on hand to guide people through the parking lot and unload their boxes. Donations of cash or checks are preferred (will accommodate credit cards as well).

Proceeds from this fundraiser go to Kenmore Rotary charities, which, along with the Rotary Foundation, have been active supporters of such local groups as Kenmore Mercy Hospital, the Boy Scouts, Cradle Beach, the Salvation Army, the Town of Tonawanda Paramedics Corps, the Town of Tonawanda Youth Parks and Recreation Department and Ken-Ton Closet.
