Grand Island Memorial Library: Island artist's work featured in show

The Grand Island Memorial Library is featuring an art show for the month of February.

Angelo F. LaDuca, a Grand Island artist, is displaying 18 of his oil paintings that include landscape, portrait and still life paintings. In addition, the display includes a storyboard, which shows the preparation that he did when creating one of the paintings on display. In the exhibit there is also a framed article entitled "Angelo's Outlook on Art," which explains that LaDuca started painting at the age of 67. It outlines what he has done to develop his art skill and expresses the idea that people should never feel they are too old to develop new skills. LaDuca invites people who see what he is doing to take on the challenge of learning a new creative hobby.

The display racks used for this show are a gift of The Friends of the Library. These new displays complement the recently acquired furniture that was also provided by the Friends.
