It was another full house at the Lewiston Lions April dinner meeting as Mary and Bill Owens spoke to the membership about an organization close to their hearts: Camp Duffield.

The Lewiston Lions Club helps Camp Duffield continue its tradition of providing a supportive Christian environment where imaginations, life skills and community are fostered.

Camp Duffield is a 137-acre campground that serves as a camp, conference center and retreat space. Since 1950, workers have accepted campers of all ages and backgrounds, enabling them to enjoy the sights and sounds of God's creation. Their mission is to know Jesus Christ and make Christ known by nurturing individual growth in faith, strengthening family relationships and building communities of love, care and acceptance within a natural setting of God's beautiful creation.
