Niagara County Community College held its 18th annual Tech Wars competition for middle and high school students Wednesday at the college, 3111 Saunders Settlement Road.

About 700 students from 30 school districts competed in events testing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills.

Tech Wars gives students the opportunity to apply STEM knowledge to real world applications and have fun while doing it. Many of these students go on to college in those fields to become the designers, engineers and scientists of the future.
