Lewiston Police Blotter for Sept. 27, 2014

The following activity occurred Monday, Sept. 15, to Sunday, Sept. 21, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD logged a total of 90 response calls during this period.

Monday, Sept. 15

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, Niagara Wheatfield High School, harassment complaint/arrest. Statement taken from school administrators, resulting in the arrest of a male, 17, on a charge of harassment, second-degree, physical contact. Subject removed from premises to his residence and the supervision of a parent. Reports filed.

•900 block of North Hewitt Drive, alarm response. Patrol spoke with the homeowner; problems reported with home security alarm system.

•700 block of Center Street, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from drivers; no injuries or tows. Report filed.

•500 block of Irving Drive, fraud complaint. Statement taken from a male who reported funds taken from a bank account. Report filed.

Tuesday, Sept. 16

•5800 block of Buffalo Street, building check. Patrol reported lights on in a business; all secure.

•Upper Mountain Road and Route 104, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 25, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation, second-degree. Driver released on an appearance ticket to Lewiston Town Court and vehicle secured. Report filed.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, Niagara Wheatfield School District, harassment-arrest. Statement taken from a male, 47. Male, 53, arrested on the harassment complaint and for unlawful possession of marijuana. Arraignment at Lewiston Town Court; bail of $500/$1,000 assigned and suspect remanded to custody of Niagara County Sheriff's Office/Niagara County Jail. Report filed.

•Upper Mountain Road, eastbound from Walmore Road, reckless driver complaint. Vehicle located; all OK.

•5800 block of Garlow Road, check situation/possible violation of court order. Complainant GOA; Town of Niagara Police to follow up.

•Saunders Settlement and Tuscarora roads, motor vehicle accident with injuries. Call handled by State Police.

•200 block of Lockport Street, Youngstown Red Brick School Village Center, agency assist. LPD on location with Youngtown Police on a harassment complaint.

•Saunders Settlement and Walmore roads, recovered property. Patrol logged a bicycle recovery.

Wednesday, Sept. 17

•400 block of Dansworth Road, Youngstown, agency assist. LPD on location with Youngstown Police for a DWI arrest.

•800 block of Cayuga Street, illegal dumping at a storage business. Male, no age, listed as a suspect. Investigation to continue.

•3100 block of Saunders Settlement Road, agency assist. LPD on location with NCSO on a warrant attempt at the NCCC student dorms.

•5400 block of Military Road, mental health response. LPD assisted Crisis Services; male taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

•Susies Lane at Mount Hope Road, criminal mischief incident. LPD notified Verizon.

•4100 block of Townline Road, DOT road check. Patrol reported five trucks were inspected. No critical failures found; uniform traffic tickets, unspecified, issued.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, stolen vehicle complaint. Female, 37, listed as victim; suspect unknown.

•400 block of Seneca Street, citizen assist. Uniform traffic ticket issued by patrol for an inoperable headlight.

Thursday, Sept. 18

•Unspecified location on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation, stolen vehicle recovery. Patrol reported vehicle from earlier Saunders Settlement Road complaint located. Investigation continuing.

•1600 block of Wayside Drive, fraud complaint. Female, 58, listed as complainant. No further details.

•2700 block of Saunders Settlement Road, fraud complaint. Unidentified resident reported fraud-related phone calls; patrol advised not to answer door and to contact LPD.

•3800 block of Ransomville Road, suspicious vehicle. LPD assisted NCSO and state Department of Environmental Conservation on call. DEC to handle.

•Niagara University campus, EMS response. Unidentified student reported having a reaction to medication taken to Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center by Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co.

•Lewiston Queenston Bridge, agency assist. Patrol reported a weapon seizure. Male, 50,listed as owner; report filed.

Friday, Sept. 19

•1800 block of Saunders Settlement Road, accident. Statements taken from drivers; report filed.

•2900 block of Saunders settlement Road, suspicious person complaint. Patrol spoke with a store clerk regarding a male, 46. Subject sent on his way.

•4900 block of Mohawk Parkway, Wildwood Acres, assist agency. LPD on location with NCSO for an unwanted party. Subject sent on his way.

•4800 block of Eddy Drive West, check welfare. Patrol reported the party in question had moved.

•400 block of Brookshire, missing person. Adult located by patrol and returned home.

•400 block of Kenwood Drive, found property. Patrol reported a wallet and sweatshirt found in front of residence. Male, 28,listed on the ID. Property logged and placed in lost/found.

•Locations at a business on the 2700 block of Saunders Settlement Road, on the 5800 block of Buffalo Street, at Artpark and at Route 249 and Saunders Settlement Road, reports of suspicious vehicles/persons. Calls handled; no problems found.

Saturday, Sept. 20

•5000 block of Saunders Settlement Road, agency assist. LPD on location with Town of Niagara Police for a loud party complaint.

•4900 block of Tuscarora Road, agency assist. LPD on location with Town of Niagara Police for a criminal mischief in progress call.

•4400 block of Dickersonville Road, hunter complaint. Handled by patrol.

•100 block of Mohawk Street, officer requested. Patrol spoke with a male, 58, concerning a building and tenant. Male, 30, listed on call. Patrol reported the problem as a civil matter. Subject advised.

•Location not reported, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle complaint. Statement taken from a male, 50. Vehicle listed as a 2014 Chevy Cruz. Report filed.

•Lewiston Queenston Bridge, counterfeit currency. Male, 53, listed as person involved. Report filed.

•5400 block of Grauer Road, agency assist. LPD on location with Town of Niagara Police for a suspicious person call.

Sunday, Sept. 21

•Saunders Settlement Road and Buffalo Street, property-damage accident. Statements taken from drivers; no injuries and vehicles towed. Report filed.

•NU campus, intoxicated persons (two responses). Female, 17, and male 17, taken by Upper Mountain to Mount St. Mary's EM-Star.

•700 block of Raymond Drive, intoxicated person. Male, 17, taken by Lewiston No. 1 and Upper Mountain EMS to Mount St. Mary's EM-Star.

•2600 block of Youngstown-Lockport Road, agency assist. LPD on location with NCSO for a domestic call. All OK.

•5500 block of Grauer Road, agency assist. LPD on location with Town of Niagara Police for a suspicious person call.
