Town of Niagara Police Blotter for Aug. 14, 2014

The following is a sampling of calls received by the Town of Niagara Police between Aug. 4 and 8.

Monday, Aug. 4

•Larceny, 1700 block of Military Road. Construction company reported someone broke the lock off its storage container and stole eight pails of joint compound.

•Larceny, 2200 block of Military Road. Complainant reported a man and a woman came into his store and while the female distracted him, he believes the man stole four anatomic pillows valued at $580.

•Aid assist, Factory Outlet Boulevard. Patrol assisted construction crews with a road shutdown while the company detonated explosives underground.

Tuesday, Aug. 5

Check situation, 3100 block of Bellreng Drive. Report of a young child crying. All OK; child was misbehaving.

Wednesday, Aug. 6

•Suspicious person, 4800 block of Rhode Island Avenue. Complainant reported someone rang the back doorbell, and then ran. Two males were observed running into a wooded area at the rear of the house leading toward Lockport Road.

Thursday, Aug. 7

•Burglary, 7900 block of Lee Drive. Complainant reported he left town on June 20 and returned to find his flat screen television, tools, a generator and Xbox, valued at $950, missing.

•Found property, 4900 block of Tindal Lane. Caller reported finding a black purse and a GPS unit in his yard.

•Domestic, 3000 block of Panama Street and 1200 block of Dogwood Place. Patrols responded to two incidents, one involving a custody dispute and the other a mother/son argument.

Friday, Aug. 8

•EMS, 4500 block of Hyde Park Boulevard. Report of a man with severe burns at manufacturing company. Man had obvious signs of burns on face, arms, legs, chest and back. He was transported to Erie County Medic Center via Mercy Flight.

•Missing person, 6800 block of Elsa Place. Woman reported hearing a man calling for help. Patrol found man on the ground in neighbor's yard and walked him back to his house. Transport refused.
